Big Bear

(Seasonal Encounter from April thru October each year)

Take a ride out to the Brown Bear section of the park in our special encounter vehicle and feed the bears their favorite treats! Learn all about bears including how rangers use positive reinforcement to encourage natural behaviors in these 1000lb carnivores!

Hibernating Bears Encounter
(Seasonal Encounter from November thru February each year)

This "whispers only" Encounter is a Keeper-guided chance to go into the brown bear den and see them during their winter "sleep." Keepers will explain what happens during the bears hibernation and share other fascinating details. Keepers will give a talk before entering the building and then there will be a question and answer time outside the building after seeing the bears.

Group & Private: $10/person

Bear Feed

Meet our brown bears inside their dens and help the Rangers feed and bring them in for the night. Watch as the animals devour their food and learn about their eating habits. The Bear Feed is always at 5:00pm.

Breakfast with the Bears

Come join Wildlife Safari's brown bears for breakfast! Begin your day in the bear area with an educational talk about our bears, then load into the your vehicle to watch bears “forage” for scattered enrichment items mimicking natural behavior.

Camel Rides
(Seasonal Encounter, spring and summer)

Camels were known as the 'ship of the desert' because they carried people and merchandise across the desert - now they can take you for a ride at Wildlife Safari! You can even get a photo of you/your kids on the camel or get your own camel 'driver's licence.'

Camel rides are seasonal/weather permitting.

Cheetah/Tiger Feed

Come join our Rangers and feed the cheetahs and tigers! Toss the cheetahs dinner to them and watch as the cats eat their meal. The adventure continues inside the tiger huts as you help the Rangers give the tigers their dinner. This experience is intense and dynamic!

Members: $65/person

Non-members: $70/person

RESTRICTIONS: The Tiger Feed is appropriate for ages 13 and over with proper adult supervision. Maximum of 6 guests. Only the Cheetah Feed can accommodate a larger group and younger children.

Cheetah Encounter

Take a walk on the wild side in our cheetah area. Safely accompanied by our Rangers, you can walk through the cheetah area and get close to the fastest land mammal. This is also an opportunity to meet our Siberian tigers outside of your car.

Members: $40/person
Non-members: $45/person

RESTRICTIONS: Any age with proper adult supervision. Please notify Safari Rangers if any guest in your group is unable to walk 1/2 mile so that a van can be scheduled.

Cheetah Keeper Talk
(Seasonal)

Visit with our cheetah in the Village Cheetah Spot. The Cheetah Spot was built especially so everyone could have a close-up look at this elegant cat. Keepers will share information, answer your questions and explain what Wildlife Safari is doing to help cheetahs survive in the wild.

Cheetah Painting

New in art world - painting cheetahs! Select your colors and watch as our cheetah creates a unique paw-printed work of art on canvas. Keepers will share special information about these endangered cats while our cheetah paints, then you take home your one-of-a-kind masterpiece!

90 Minutes Cheetah and Tiger Enrichment Tour

This enrichment tour is a great way for you to connect with the animals in a playful way. You will be able to enter the tiger yard and place enrichment items around the area, then watch as the tigers play with the items you placed in their pens. This tour may be reserved for tigers or cheetahs or both.

Members: $90/person

Non-members: $95/person

RESTRICTIONS: Any age with proper adult supervision.

Photos with "Taini" our ambassador Cheetah

Photos with Taini are available by appointment ONLY Monday thru Thursday. You will receive a personal encounter with Taini and learn some special cheetah facts. There will be no petting, but you will have a close-up experience and are welcome to take photos of your own. You will receive an 8x10 and two 4x6 photos of you and Taini. The entire photo encounter is $50.00* per group. Additional prints are available for $10 per print. The photos will be ready shortly after the photo encounter. The entire photo encounter lasts 10-30 minutes, depending on Taini's temperament. Please call Guest Services at 679-6761. ext 210, to make an appointment.

Elephant Barn Encounter

Imagine a close encounter with the largest land animal on earth! Your special experience will include an educational program, a “Meet and Greet” with petting and feeding with our elephants.

Pachyderm Picassos

Yearning to meet an elephant with a creative side? Travel to the Elephants Barn and meet these gentle giants up-close and personal. Choose your color scheme and watch one of our Pachyderm Picasso's create an original masterpiece just for you!

Private only: $45/person + $45 for 1 painting

Members: $40/person + $45 for 1 painting

RESTRICTIONS: All ages welcome, however, children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum of 20 guests.

NOTE: You must also schedule an Elephant Encounter - the two encounters work together!

Giraffe Feeding

Take a ride out to the Africa section of the park to meet the tallest member of the Wildlife Safari family. Rangers will introduce you to our giraffe family and help you feed them yummy treats.

Group: $10/person

Private: $45/person. Members: $40/person

RESTRICTIONS: Minimum age 4 and older (unless accompanied by parent).

Half day with a Ranger

Follow a Wildlife Safari animal caretaker through their day! Available for Carnivores, Cheetahs, Ungulates, Village, Veternarian departments. Only two (2) people are allowed to do this event at one time. Call Guest Services for details.

Lion Feeding

Go into the Lion's den with our Rangers and help feed these fierce creatures! Get in the middle of our pride of hungry lions as they attack their food just a few feet from you. Learn about about lions and their eating habits. This experience is intense and dynamic!

Lions Up Close and Personal

How do you train an aggressive 500lb beast with sharp claws and teeth? Very carefully! Come see how our keepers use positive reinforcement to encourage natural behaviors in carnivores. This training not only provides needed enrichment for the animal, but training helps keepers monitor the health and disposition of captive animals.

Lion Tug-of-War

“You think you can take me on?” That’s what Tau says at the beginning of every session with the new Lion Tug-of-War Encounter! And he means it, too. So far, Tau’s success rate: 100%, people tuggers: 0. His mate, Sarabi, is no pansy either; no human has so far one-upped her in this game of brute strength.

Tiger Tour

Our Safari van will deliver you right to our tiger's doorstep for a chance to see these awesome animals outside your car. Learn all about the largest animal in the cat family, watch how the keepers train our tigers using positive reinforcement, and be ready to be awed by these fearsome beasts!

Ungulate Enrichment Run

Take a ride out to Asia in our special truck and feed the sika deer - or any other animal that decides to join in for the snacks!

Village Show(Seasonal)

All our animal shows are written and performed by our very talented Village staff. Show themes change throughout the year, but each features an array of special critters, audience participation, questions & answers and petting time with selected animals. Don't miss these exciting, and often, exciting presentations!
