Private Encounters, Feedings and Tours

A private animal encounter is the perfect way to spend some up-close and personal time with these amazing creatures! Please read each encounters description and restrictions carefully. Contact Guest Services, (541)-679-6761 ext 210, for further details or to make reservations.

Giraffe Feeding:
Take a ride out to the Africa section of the park to meet the tallest member of the Wildlife Safari family. Rangers will introduce you to our giraffe family and help you feed them yummy treats.
RESTRICTIONS: Encounter is limited to guests 4 years and older. Maximum of 6 guests.
Cheetah Encounter:
Take a walk on the wild side in our cheetah area. Safely accompanied by our Rangers, you can walk through the cheetah area and get close to the fastest land mammal. This is also an opportunity to meet our Siberian tigers outside of your car.
RESTRICTIONS: Any age with proper adult supervision. Please notify Safari Rangers if any guest in your group is unable to walk 1/2 mile so that a van can be scheduled.
Cheetah/Tiger Feed:
Come join our Rangers as they feed the cheetahs and tigers. Help the Rangers toss the meat through the cheetah feeding chutes, then watch as the cats eat their meal. The adventure continues as you join the Rangers in the tiger huts while the tigers devour their meal. This experience is intense and dynamic!
RESTRICTIONS: This event is appropriate for ages 10 and over with proper adult supervision. Maximum of 6 guests. Only the Cheetah Feed can accommodate a larger group and younger children.
90 Minutes Cheetah and Tiger Enrichment Tour:
This enrichment tour is a great way for you to connect with the animals in a playful way. You will be able to enter the tiger yard and place enrichment items around the area, then watch as the tigers play with the items you placed in their pens. This tour may be reserved for tigers or cheetahs or both.
RESTRICTIONS: Any age with proper adult supervision.
Photos with "Taini" our ambassador Cheetah:
Photos with Taini are available by appointment ONLY Monday thru Thursday. Photos are taken in the Cheetah Spot, which is our manicured park-like setting in the front of the Village. You will recieve a personal encounter with Taini and learn some special cheetah facts. There will be no petting, but you will have a close-up experience and are welcome to take photos of your own. You will recieve an 8x10 and two 4x6 photos of you and Taini. The entire photo encounter is $50.00 per group. Additional prints are available for $10 per print. The photos will be ready shortly after the photo encounter. A portion of the proceeds from all pictures will go to the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) in Namibia. CCF is helping to save wild cheetahs and was founded by Laurie Marker who began her career at Wildlife Safari. The entire photo encounter lasts 10-30 minutes, depending on Taini's temperament. Lion Feeding:
Go into the Lion's den with our Rangers and help feed these fierce creatures! Get in the middle of our pride of hungry lions as they attack their food just a few feet from you. Meet the members of Wildlife Safari’s lion pride to learn more about lions and their eating habits. This experience is intense and dynamic!
RESTRICTIONS: This experience is limited to ages 13 and older. This encounter occurs at park closing. Maximum of 6 guests.
Lion/Bear Feeds:
After you feed the lions, continue on to the bear dens. Meet our brown bears and help the Rangers feed and bring them in for the night. Stand back as the animals devour their food. Learn about bears and their eating habits.
RESTRICTIONS: This experience is limited to ages 13 and older. This encounter occurs at park closing. Maximum of 6 guests.

Breakfast with the Bears:

Come join Wildlife Safari's brown bears for breakfast! Begin your day in the bear area with an educational talk about our bears, then load into the your vehicle to watch bears “forage” for scattered enrichment items, mimicking natural behavior.
RESTRICTIONS: Open to all ages with adult supervision.
Half day with a Ranger:
Follow a Wildlife Safari animal caretaker through their day! Available for any animal department. Only two (2) people are allowed to do this event at one time.
RESTRICTIONS: Must be 18 years of age or older.
Village Encounters:
An exciting educational visit with one or more of the animals that call the Village their home. Encounters are available themed around reptiles, mammals, adaptation, habitat and more. Encounters are a fun addition to parties or with a large group!
RESTRICTIONS: None.
Elephant Encounter:
Imagine a close encounter with the largest land animal on earth! Your special experience will include an educational program, a “Meet and Greet” with petting and feeding with our elephants.
RESTRICTIONS: All ages welcome, however, children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum of 20 guests.
Pachyderm Picassos:
Yearning to meet an elephant with a creative side? Travel to the Elephants Barn and meet these gentle giants up-close and personal. Choose your color scheme and watch one of our Pachyderm Picassos create an original masterpiece just for you!
RESTRICTIONS: All ages welcome, however, children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum of 20 guests.
NOTE: You are not able to participate in this unless you have scheduled an Elephant Encounter - the two encounters work together!
Abstract Cat Encounter - Cheetah Prints:
New in Wildlife Safari's art world - painting cheetahs! Select your colors and watch as our cheetah creates a unique paw-printed work of art on canvas. Keepers will share special information about these endangered cats while our cheetah paints, then you take home your one-of-a-kind masterpiece! RESTRICTIONS: None.
